Auf dieser Seite können Sie sich einen Überblick über meine Arbeit und die von mir restaurierten Instrumente beschaffen.
Seit 1986 beschäftige ich mich nun mit der Restaurierung und Reparatur von Harmoniuminstrumenten beider Bauweisen:
Des Saugluft- und des Druckwindharmonium
Die Liebe zum Harmonium liegt mir in den Genen, da schon meine Mutter von diesem Instrument fasziniert war. Schon in frühester Jugend habe ich Nordpanien Instrumente aufgefunden, die fast ausschließlich französischer Bauart waren. Sie bespielte ich mit den vor Ort ansässigen Pfarrern in Gottesdiensten. Besonders in den Kapellen in den Bergdörfern ersetzt das Harmonium die Kirchenorgel.
Da nicht alle Instrumente in perfektem Zustand waren begann ich somit 1986 die ersten Harmoniums zu reparieren.
Aber auch in den großen Kirchen der Städte konnte man sich kostbare französische Harmoniums leisten. So stehen nun in diversen Ländern der Welt eine nicht geringe Anzahl an Instrumenten, die durch meine Hände wieder zum Leben erweckt wurden. Später kamen dann Instrumente in der Toscana hinzu, z. B. in Asciano.
Die fast lebenslange Freundschaft zum belgischen Organisten und Harmoniumspezialisten Jan van Mol verfestigte noch mein Wissen über den Bau und die Reparatur dieses Instrumentes.
Wie viele Instrumente ich bisher Restauriert oder Repariert habe kann ich nicht mehr zurückverfolgen.
Wichtig für mich ist , und somit auch für die von mir restaurierten Instrumentet, daß ich hierfür ausschließlich historische Materialien verwende.
Ich behandle die Instrumente ausschließlich mit historischen Materialien, historischen Lacken, wie z.B. Schellack.
Ferner ist es ein mein Ziel, dass am restaurierten Instrument der historische Wert und Flair bewahrt wird und nicht hinterher ein Hochglanzobjekt wie neu aus der Fabrik steht.
Zahlreiche Instrumente habe ich angekauft um sie zu plündern und somit ein ausreichendes Ersatzteillager für Harmoniums aller Marken zu haben.
Auf zahllosen Flohmärkten, in An- und Verkaufläden in vielen Ländern Europas und Internetseiten schnüffle ich noch heute nach historischn Beschlägen, Schlösser, Ersatzteile etc.
Somit verfüge ich über eine riesen Auswahl an originalen Ersatzteilen und eine große Sammlung an antiken Stoffe, Seiden, Papiere und Leder...
Ich versuche stets nur das originalgetreu zu ersetzen, was nicht mehr vorhanden ist oder ersetzt werden muss.
Mit Betonung auf Muss da ich Altes stets erhalten möchte und nicht einfach das entferne, was noch original ist.
Mein Motto ist: Altes, historisches bewahren und nur stilecht, museumsgerecht zu restaurieren.
Kleine Warnung:
Leider häufen sich zur Zeit die Internetseiten bzw. Angebote angeblicher Harmoniumrestauratoren. Vertrauen Sie diesen Ihr Instrument bitte nicht an. Schauen Sie in den Hintergrund und schauen Sie sich die
Ergebnisse an und wo diese bisher gearbeitet haben. Selbst Orgelbauer mit großem Namen reparieren Harmoniums nur um sich ein paar Euro dazu zu verdienen. (Und erneuern leider oftmals viel zu viel in einem
Instrument). Das bringt höhere Material und Arbeitskosten und das Instrument verliert an historischem Wert.
Erst kürzlich habe ich ein Harmonium gesehen, da hat ein bedeutender "Harmoniumrestaurator" sämtliche Zungenaufpoliert - absolut......isch!
Aber auch stellt eine Änderung der Stimmung(Kammerton) Ihres Harmoniums kein Problem für mich. (was allerdings mit wirklich viel Arbeit und einigen Rückenschmerzen verbunden ist)
Um ein Harmonium werterhaltend zu restaurieren muss man schon lange Erfahrung und eine Menge Materialien gesammelt haben!!!
Oftmals werden Arbeiten erledigt, die nicht gemacht werden müssen, Materialien verwendet, die den Originalen (weder in Stärke noch Farbe) entsprechen.
Oftmals verliert das Harmonium Innerlich und erst recht äußerlich den historischen Charakter!
Achten Sie nicht auf deren Hochglanzbildern mit hochpolierten Instrumenten. Das hat absolut nichts mit einer denkmalgerechten Restauration zu tun!
Vertrauen Sie Ihr Instrument einem Fachmann an! Vertrauen Sie 35 Jahre Erfahrung mit der fachgerechten Restauration von Harmoniums.

Pero también es posible un cambio de humor (tono de cámara) de su armonio. (lo que, sin embargo, se asocia con mucho trabajo y algo de dolor de espalda)
¡Pequeña advertencia!
¡Por el momento, parece que algunos laicos semicualificados tienen que fundar un taller de armonio o hacerse pasar por la competencia del armonio!
¡Pero me gustaría advertir contra eso, porque no tienen ni el conocimiento técnico ni los materiales / materiales históricos apropiados!

Since 1986 I have been working on the restoration and repair of harmonium instruments of both types:
The suction air and the pressure wind harmonium
The love of the harmonium is in my genes, since my mother was fascinated by this instrument. In my earliest youth, I found instruments in northern Spain that were almost entirely of French design. I recorded them with the local pastors in church services. Especially in the chapels in the mountain villages, the harmonium replaces the church organ.
Since not all instruments were in perfect condition, I started repairing the first harmoniums.
But even in the great churches of the cities one could afford precious French harmoniums. So now in northern Spain, especially in Asturias, there are a large number of instruments that have come back to life through my hands. Later instruments were added in Tuscany, for In Asciano.
The almost lifelong friendship with the Belgian organist and harmonium specialist Jan van Mol consolidated my knowledge of the construction and repair of this instrument.

I treat the instruments exclusively with historical materials, historical paints, e.g. Shellac.

I bought a lot of instruments to plunder them and thus have a sufficient spare parts store for harmoniums of all brands.
On countless flea markets, in shops and shops in many European countries and websites I sniff today for historical fittings, locks, spare parts, etc.

Unfortunately, many restorers or organ builders do not do that. This brings higher material and labor costs and the instrument loses historical value.

Little warning !:
At the moment, it seems that some semi-skilled laymen have to found a harmonium workshop or impersonate harmonium competence!
But I would like to warn against that, because they have neither the technical knowledge, nor the appropriate materials / historical materials!
